Day Four - Chame (2670m) to Manang (3540m) then quick recon to Ghusang (3950m)

24th September 2014

Another big day of climbing.

I noticed my neck getting stiff from all the looking up, definitely getting in amongst the big peaks now.

This beautiful meadow just a few km before Lower Pisang was so peaceful I could have snoozed here all afternoon.

Climbing again and being overtaken by livestock! Steep!

Annapurna Range teasing me with their grandeur in the distance, remaining shrouded in cloud so the peaks were still invisible

Worlds weirdest and creepiest deserted second hand stall

Sisters Silam and Tharshi outside their beautiful cottage in Humde

Lunch at Humde.
My first bowl of Thenduk, eggy dumplingy soupy madness.
Absolutely divine!

More hints of the high peaks I am now in amongst

Lower Pisang

That'll do nicely for today, or so I thought.
After the Altitude Sickness Awareness lecture at the Himalyan Rescue Association clinic in Manang I decided to head further up the hill towards Ghusang in order to reduce my chances of developing AMS. Climb high, sleep low people.
